The success of Puredistance started in 2007 with the launch of Puredistance 1. This Perfume was created by Annie Buzantian as her own signature scent. But Annie loved the concept of Puredistance so much that she gifted us her most precious, personal Perfume. After Puredistance 1 she also created ANTONIA and OPARDU for Puredistance.
Annie has always worked in New York and has created more than 90 fragrances, many of them very feminine and sophisticated - full of character, but never loud. I remember her saying: 'When I leave a room my fragrance should leave with me'. In recognition of her successes, Annie Buzantian was awarded the title, Master Perfumer in 1998 and chosen as Perfumer of the Year by The Fragrance Foundation in 2015.

I must say that No.12 is really something special. It definitely wouldn’t have been suitable calling it Gold as originally planned by the perfumer, however it has a blue freshness to it that I cannot describe. This perfume has one of the lushest and most sparkling citrus openings I have ever experienced. It is so bright and pure like smelling the real fruits – a true testament to the quality materials used in this perfume.
Oakmoss and patchouli add a perfect touch of earthiness to the fresh composition. The musk is soft and sensual like smelling a lover’s skin. What a smooth composition, I would bathe in this if I could!

Like all Puredistance frangrances, this comes in perfect concentration: the scent lasts for a long time and has the perfect reach. It will not suffocate people, but rather give you a wonderful golden (sic) aura. Depending on how much you spray, of course.
The scent is not a Mondrian with sharp boundaries between the individual notes but rather an intricately weawed silk scarf. It is a perfect blend of different notes that smells much more than its individual constituents. Only if you look, or smell closely and focus, you’ll see that the perfect shade of gold is made of threads of green, ocre, deep red, orange, white, brown and yellow. Or herbs, labdanum, clove, mandarine, jasmine, cinnamon and vetiver.

A bottle of Aenotus I have bought a week ago was meant to be my last perfume purchase this year, but once I have tested the new Gold from the complimentary discovery set I knew I need to have it and I need it now. Just as Black, which I adore, Gold gives you the instant feeling of pleasure and luxury. Like all Puredistance compositions it is perfectly blended, but it is not a monolith – individual ingredients reveal themseles for a long time. Tha balance between balsamic and resinous notes, spices, sweet and zesty citrus is wonderful. It is a soft and warm oriental scent that tucks you like a cashmere scarf.

It is again an incredibly wonderful scent from Puredistance! Just simply wow! Now, I truly can’t chose only one favorite perfume from this brand, because they only make “wow” fragrances. All of them are perfect and beautiful on their own different way. Sheiduna is so unique, so special in a beautiful way. A perfume inspired of the desert, and it shows the most beautiful side of the desert. Exotic, oriental, romantic, mysterious. When I sniff it, I almost can see in front of me the desert, and every nice thing what belongs to it. This fragrance is so warm, sweet in the most pleasant way. This scent is calming and call you an adventure at the same time.

While there is no mentioned notes, I suppose that I clearly can smell agarwood and leather as main notes and some smokiness, maybe incense or a little birch tar and perhaps a little patchouli in the dry down… But anyway, this is a wonderful, dark, mysterious scent. So to knowing the exact notes really does not matter. Because, we can enjoy this authentic fragrance more then 8 hours. Because the longevity is great, the sillage is just how it should be, just like the other Puredistance perfumes.

Another great work by my Antonie Lie in collaboration with Puredistance which ultimately succeeds. To be honest, when I first discovered Black, I did not know what to feel. Since its notes are not declared, one has to simply guess them and try to work out its structure. Yet, I guess, that is the point. Since perfume is all about personal feelings and experiences, I think Black succeeds to deliver its message which is about being secretive while also being very pleasant to our noses. In any case, when I wear it, I imagine travelling far places on a Harley bike, enjoying my journey while not knowing exactly what awaits at the end of that road…

I must confess that I would stalk any woman sporting White : ) The strange thing is that White was created by Antoine Lie who is known for rather unconventional perfumes like the ones he made for “Etat Libre d’Orange” and “One of the Those”. Yet, the fruit of his collaboration with Puredistance is an extremely classy floral destined for classy ladies. Whenever I smell White, I picture myself in the presence of beautiful women in Victorian dresses, sitting next to the water fountain in Versailles. Indeed, White is a beautiful, beautiful perfume.

I think he has Oud, but not an animal and barn oud, he gets the best of the Oud, a Cambodian Oud.
It is large as a whole, Ginger is perceived, cardamom, wood, saffron, rose and a magnificent patchouli, everything is developed with a quality amber and sandalwood.
After an hour the patchouli loses intensity, perceiving a perfect, sweet, and somewhat moist rose, but a rose that is visualized by its smell. I think it’s a great Damascene Turkish rose.
In short it is a perfume, soft, but deep but at the same time it is opulent, without being stunned, it is always pleasant.
It is difficult to understand that a perfume with that type of rose and patchouli, is at once deep, dark but wonderful

It was my second purchase of Puredistance, since I received some samples when buying “M”, at first I bought it was for a gift, but I liked it for me, it could be the beginning with that lemon, tangerine orange and currant.
The beginning is light but fruity at the same time, after a while a rose is clearly perceived, with its notes of spices, but it is something different is not the typical rose with saffron, it can be a capacity for that different combination in Zarokian.

This is the most enchanting Puredistance for me. “White” was beautiful, but this one is out of this world, the kind of creamy floral I was looking for.
With the first spray pump lilacs and heliotrope take centerstage immediately, both stay present during the rest of the drydown.
My olfactory impressions in the first few hours I would describe as a blend of violet-coloured and white lilac blossoms, supported by the very gentle green and white velvety touch of a mild gardenia.
As soon as the fragrance melts with warm skin, it seems to develop an ethereal warm glow, as if the sun was shining through it.
Heliotrope adds a touch of expected powdery softness and supports the natural sweetness of the lilac blossoms.
What I like best about this fragrance is the background surrounding the blooming “lilac bush”. There are some beautiful peppery-spicy nuances that probably stem from carnations. Hard to put into words, this spicy streak seems to add a sort of freshness and vibrating energy to the perfume.
There seems to be a soft, milky-creamy cloud wavering around the lilacs, as well. My impression is of velvety and very tender, clean, white gardenia and jasmine petals, mixed with a bright tuberose.
Though there is a heavy load of white blossoms in the composition, it never turns buttery, heavy or stuffy and there are no indolic traces. All I experience are soft, naturally sweet and clean flower
petals dancing on my skin.
The fragrance is breathtakingly beautiful, a ray of clean, warm light shining on a fantasy garden full of pastel-coloured flowers and fluffy, creamy-dreamy white clouds on the horizon, with the whole picture shrouded in a transparent rosy hue. There is a charming sort of bright shimmer in this fragrance that is hard to grasp and hard to describe; it reminds me of the luxurious shimmer of pearls.
Okay, let’s face it: It is an expensive perfume, but for me this ultra-feminine, tender and bright
summer day in a bottle is worth every cent. If you are into creamy soft florals, then give this a try.
The sillage is elegant and subtle, the scent gets definitely noticed, however, and draws others closer
to find out what the good smell is all about.

Reading your descriptions for the perfumes beforehand, I expected to fall for M and Sheiduna. This only shows the uniqueness and quality of your perfumes in my opinion. Opardu and Antonia are far more feminine and flowery as my usual fragrances, but I love them and find them absolutely wearable.

White took me totally by surprise. It is subdued but not when I initially applied it. I took a mild bath in it, I believe:). This morning, I applied it again with a more subtle hand and AGAIN I find myself fascinated by this fragrance as with all of the other Puredistance fragrances! I consider the fragrance to be exquisite, soft but with precise definition and character, unusual but
wearable, providing aesthetic interest and narcisissistic and sensual pleasure when worn.
Personally, I am pleased that it does not smell too much like an identifiable real world smell (i.e., it is
somewhat abstract) and that its feminity comes from softness and warmth rather than sweetness. I
am fascinated by its combination of coolness and warmth. It is long lasting but (this is the only
negative – a mild one) sometimes I would want it to travel through distance a little further (just a bit
more sillage, but not at the risk of being a “sillage monster”). With regard to sillage, I think the
bottom line for me is the ability to smell a scent I am wearing with reasonable ease, without having
to bring nose to skin. As I recall, in the drydown, Puredistance would only occasionally waft up to
my nose, and I would have liked those occasions to be a little more frequent.
