Puredistance BLACK is created in Paris by the famous French Perfumer Antoine Lie. He created a perfume of the highest quality that is close to the wearer and releases sensual and elegant scent layers in a whispering and sophisticated way – without shouting.
A warm, mysterious and elegant fragrance, full of charm, that stays in the shadow, giving away – only every now and then – part of its nature. Puredistance BLACK plays hide-and-seek on the skin, appearing, morphing, and reappearing to delight the senses.

GIFTBOX & PACKAGING
The 100ml flacon is made of black coloured glass and the engraved, gold colour cap is made from solid metal.
The Perfume flacon is well protected inside a luxurious black leather holder that is handmade in a leather atelier in Belgium.
The Perfume is packaged inside our signature giftbox, that was specially designed for Puredistance in 2005. Every giftbox comes with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity. The giftbox is protected by a high quality carton box.

I was wondering if the bottle was refillable. (In the sense: if I also get the 100ml Black bottle, would I be able to use it to refill this 17.5ml one that has a much more practical format, especially for travelling?)

Smells smokey and woody and leather with a mox of rose. Very sexy scent for evening. Also reminds me a bit of TF noir de noir except this feels with higher quality ingredients and more masculine overall. I smell spices leather and amber at the base. Amazing scent

While there is no mentioned notes, I suppose that I clearly can smell agarwood and leather as main notes and some smokiness, maybe incense or a little birch tar and perhaps a little patchouli in the dry down… But anyway, this is a wonderful, dark, mysterious scent. So to knowing the exact notes really does not matter. Because, we can enjoy this authentic fragrance more then 8 hours. Because the longevity is great, the sillage is just how it should be, just like the other Puredistance perfumes.

I really like the concept of “close to the skin”. This is how I personally wear my fragrances and this is one to enjoy! I get a slightly powdery mix of smooth leather, saffron, a bit rose and some spices. It develops into a slightly fruity (raspberry) powdery dark base. Great.

I purchased Puredistance Black at its launch party here in New York coty a couple years ago. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Anytime I wear it, I feel like I’m somewhere else. As I go places people constantly ask me what I’m wearing.
If I had any critique, it would be in the price, as much as I love this fragrance, the price makes it difficult to be able to buy over and over. They may have lowered it or might be offering a summer special, which I suggest is the best time to buy Puredistsnce black! You won’t regret it.

Black is a favorite go-to evening scent really all year (so long as it’s not super humid out). The woodiness, fruitiness, and floral notes tempering the darker notes make this perfectly balanced! This is very long-lasting and persistent, but the sillage is not intrusive or too much. All around very well balanced!

Another great work by my Antonie Lie in collaboration with Puredistance which ultimately succeeds. To be honest, when I first discovered Black, I did not know what to feel. Since its notes are not declared, one has to simply guess them and try to work out its structure. Yet, I guess, that is the point. Since perfume is all about personal feelings and experiences, I think Black succeeds to deliver its message which is about being secretive while also being very pleasant to our noses. In any case, when I wear it, I imagine travelling far places on a Harley bike, enjoying my journey while not knowing exactly what awaits at the end of that road…

I think he has Oud, but not an animal and barn oud, he gets the best of the Oud, a Cambodian Oud.
It is large as a whole, Ginger is perceived, cardamom, wood, saffron, rose and a magnificent patchouli, everything is developed with a quality amber and sandalwood.
After an hour the patchouli loses intensity, perceiving a perfect, sweet, and somewhat moist rose, but a rose that is visualized by its smell. I think it’s a great Damascene Turkish rose.
In short it is a perfume, soft, but deep but at the same time it is opulent, without being stunned, it is always pleasant.
It is difficult to understand that a perfume with that type of rose and patchouli, is at once deep, dark but wonderful
I recommend buying this Black.
