PUREDISTANCE GOLD VIDEO – MADE BY FEELINGS FROM A BLURRY NOTE IN SLOVENIA
“We are Daniel and Maruša (@feelings.from.a.blurry.note). We are a married couple and perfume lovers living in Slovenia. Our passion with fragrances went from being collectors to producing perfume films and photography.
One of the names we have always had in mind for creating short films or any other visual type of content was Puredistance, as three of our all time favourite perfumes are produced by them so they have a special place in our collection and in our hearts.
To be featured by Puredistance is an incredible honour that we do not take for granted and having the chance to express our visual feeling with GOLD will be amongst our best achievements in this fragrant journey as it is one of favourites perfumes added to our all time favourite’s list”
More and more the world of Puredistance is becoming an artistic playground for the creative, perfume loving community. Mainly on Instagram, all sorts of creative people have posted thousands of original visuals inspired by our perfumes, our visuals and elegant brand DNA.
Every now and then we are excited to discover an artist with a unique style or talent. Recently we found that Oscar from Madrid excelled in posting incredibly sharp pictures of the flacons and packaging of our perfumes. He does this on instagram under the name @the_v_scentt
We invited him to do a series of images for Puredistance and in this article we show you some of the images he made for us. After the summer we will publish more of his uniquely detailed images.
Oscar about himself:
“I am Oscar (@the_v_scentt), a person fascinated by the world of scents for many years. Approximately 18 years ago I started collecting fragrances. I am always in search of something new, something different, something that will make my head explode. I spend hours reading, researching and testing samples of all kinds of fragrances.
Another hobby of mine is photography and a few years ago I got to know the world of instagram, and immediately realized that I could merge my two passions. The possibility of capturing the beauty of a bottle, a packaging, a cap or any form of beauty in the simplest possible way – and without many ornaments – fascinates me. The possibility to collaborate with Puredistance and show all that beauty hidden in fine details, is an absolute honor and great challenge for me.”

Puredistance RUBIKONA – Launching October 15 2020 – was made by Cécile Zarokian in Paris. The creation of this perfume started with the word RUBIKONA that combines the deep and warm colour red of a RUBY with the timeless beauty of an ICON.
RU BI KO NA … Four distinct sounds that together form their own small symphony. Much like a perfectly cut RUBY that fascinates by the various shades of red and intensities of light. Puredistance Rubikona is a deep, warming perfume with a gracious, warm heart – safely embedded in deep blue satin. Elegance in every vein, in line with the sophisticated character of Puredistance. Rubikona is ‘Chic Inside Out’.
CHIC, INSIDE OUT As Yves Saint Laurent once said: ’Without elegance of the heart, there is no elegance’.
Puredistance RUBIKONA: the latest Puredistance Perfume RUBIKONA: a deep, warming perfume with a gracious, warm heart
After creating the elegant oriental SHEIDUNA, this is the second perfume Cécile Zarokian has made for Puredistance. We fully trusted she would understand the stylish and classic concept of RUBIKONA, as Cécile herself is an icon of style and Paris is her hometown. Our trust in her was fully justified: her interpretation of RUBIKONA turned out to be chic and classy.

Below we show you the 18 winners from our March and April Photo Contest. Every week we have enjoyed selecting the most beautiful and original posts. It has been our privilege to do so, since letting ourselves get lost in so many creations of beauty and elegance – in a time of destruction and negativity – allowed our minds to keep on focusing on the positive facets this world fortunately still has.
We like to thank all participants for their entries and will continue this Visual Contest until the end of May. Each week up to 3 winners can choose a 17.5 Puredistance perfume of choice: 1, ANTONIA, M, OPARDU or WARSZAWA.
Both previous and newly tagged photos qualify for this contest. More information you will find on our Instagram- and Facebook pages. And ‘Less is More’, so no need to post a lot. Quality over Quantity!

Three weeks ago we took this happy Puredistance Team picture, not knowing the Coronavirus would so quickly disrupt the normal way of life in almost every country in the world. Right now, while there is every reason for concern, we try to keep up the spirit as good as we can.
We do this first by realising that we are privileged to be still healthy and work in a small and solid company that is fully independent and headquartered in the Netherlands; a country with an efficient government that cares for all its citizens. Our team currently works from home and we set up a system that allows us to keep on producing our perfumes (that are made by hand) and shipping them to our customers.
Furthermore we keep up the spirit by continuing to do what we have always done: creating beauty in every way we can. Apart from the joy we get from the creative process itself, we take heart from offering our customers something beautiful that hopefully can influence their mood in a positive way. Even if it is only for a minute.
This week we saw the completion of a new Puredistance Notebook filled with illustrations and quotes. Nearly all illustrations are made in-house by Robin and Marleen from the Puredistance Team. It beautifully illustrates the artistic and original character of our company.
Soon we will be mailing this notebook to all stores that sell Puredistance and to a selection of our direct customers. With the intention to reach out with something positive. If you would like to see our new notebook, you can download the PDF by clicking this link: Puredistance Notebook 2020.
On the 12th of the 12th month of the year, one of the most stylish and selective perfumeries in the world, Perfumist in Minsk, organized a Puredistance GOLD event. Apart from being one of the most elegant perfumeries in the world, Perfumist is also a specialist in organizing glamorous – but always stylish – events. A good match with the DNA of Puredistance. In this Photo Story we share something about one of our creative team members: Robin Keupink.
Robin illustrating the 17.5 ml Puredistance WHITE Flacon
“My name is Robin. I am part of the production team at Puredistance. Aside that I also make illustrations, which include certain holiday illustrations that are posted on our social media, and illustrations that are used for specific printed works like postcards or notebooks.
Robin illustrating at the Puredistance Headquarters
“I made the Puredistance Warszawa lady. I am particularly proud of that one, because it reached so many people around the world as it was used as the main visual for Warszawa. I am very grateful that, at Puredistance, there is space for my passion for drawing, and that I can contribute to the creativeness of Puredistance.”
Puredistance WARSZAWA Illustration by Robin Keupink
“I always liked drawing, ever since I was young. I enjoyed putting something on paper that was in my mind, and drawing gave me a certain serenity. When I was an early teenager, I let drawing go for a while because I wanted to focus on music, but with some encouragement of my family I picked up the drawing pencils again. From this point on I started to draw more seriously, and began focussing on one particular style.”

“My main expertise is portraits, both color and black and grey. I have been trying to get better at them since I was 18, and I am still focussing mostly on portraits in my spare time. Illustrating for Puredistance, thus, does not only allow me to use my passion in my work, but it also challenges me to try new styles and develop new skills within my creative realm. Sometimes it is difficult to let go of my perfectionist attitude and my urge to create very detailed drawings. Luckily, the team helps me when I need some guidance to a certain type of style.”
PUREDISTANCE PRESENTATION AT CRIME PASSIONNEL IN THE HEART OF COPENHAGEN
Aivaras Stanevicius and Domas Monk: the team behind Crime Passionnel.
Situated in the heart of Copenhagen, Crime Passionnel offers a select range of hard-to-find fragrances. The brand selection and the knowledge of perfumes at Crime Passionnel is unique in Denmark. Puredistance is proud to be sold here and Crime Passionnel is the only store that is authorised to sell our brand in Denmark.
The interior of Crime Passionnel is very special and is in line with their philosophy of offering the customers a unique (smelling) experience.
The story and the concept of Crime Passionnel is a real one. Emotion and love for perfume is literally in their blood!
And in the same way Aivaras and Domas have built a reputation as a store with a unique story, they have selected authentic brands that are not part of large, commercial luxury powerhouses.
Tamara Vos, in charge of the (manual) assembly of the Puredistance perfumes, together with Jan Ewoud Vos, paid a visit to Crime Passionnel for a presentation of the brand to a select group of journalists.
Aivaras holding a Puredistance giftbox with AENOTUS in the intimate garden behind the store which he decorated in a wonderful way for the Puredistance presentation.
Jan Ewoud Vos explaining the essence of Puredistance and the difference between main stream perfumes and a truly exclusive brand like Puredistance. The existence of niche-perfume stores and hard-to-find-high-quality perfumes is something few people in Scandinavia are yet aware of.
After the personal and intimate presentation at Crime Passionnel (small is beautiful!), I enjoyed the bright colours of Nyhaven in Copenhagen. Visually as rich and diverse as our 100 ml collection with leather holders in colours that match the soul of each perfume.
